Well, this was last minute… I did plan to skip Pancake Day but I developed a FOMO so decided to treat myself. Ok, I didn’t make my pancakes from scratch but ready made was fine (and tasted delicious). So, for the topping? Well, my favourite is just plain old Lemon and Sugar… fresh lemon and fresh strawberries in the bag [check] and what else to have… mmm, well I’m seeing a lot of images with chocolate spread online so why the hell not. I have never bought chocolate spread as its not really something I’ve wanted to buy but today I wanted some. Aldi’s own Nutoka had amazing reviews and its half the price of the well know brand. Tonight was the night to try it on my pancakes with fresh Spanish strawberries… mm mmm. Just hoping I won’t have to share this… So I’m here to say if you have an Aldi store near you then you must try this chocolate spread. Deeeeeeeeeelicious.
After spending £60 on two items I bagged some lovely beauty items; 8 perfume samples (perfect to pop in your handbag for a mid day spritz), 70ml Rituals ‘The Ritual of Dao Organic White Lotus & Yi Yi Ren body cream, 0.03oz Benefit ‘Gimme Brow+’ in light brown, Too Faced ‘Damn Girl (It says ‘for Shamelessly thick and curled lashes – so look forward to seeing if it really does what it says), 5ml Kiehls ‘Skin Hydrator’ and 15ml Filorga ‘Time-Filler‘ for smoothing wrinkles (definitely like the sound of that!).
Ok, so this is just a snippet of my Hello Kitty collection. Yep; a snippet of my collection. Bit crazy eh? but super duper cute. Love it all.
Saw my bag, cake box and cup in my kitchen just now and was reminiscing on my trip to the Hello Kitty Cafe at the Irvine Spectrum Centre CA last year. I know my fiance wasn’t as impressed with the place as I was lol but he was good enough to take me there as he knows how I LOVE Hello Kitty. Will post some of my crazy collection… show you how really Sanrio crazy I am.
My best friend Emma introduced me to Hello Kitty when we worked in Japan years ago as professional Dancers. So, over the years the Hello Kitty collection has grown and trying my best to get some Moomin things in there too. So, I think i can blame her for this madness lol.
Anyway, I totally recommend a trip to the Irvine Spectrum Centre (fantastic place to shop and eat) https://www.irvinespectrumcenter.com/. On the way back from Disney (hence the ears!) we popped into the Hello Kitty Cafe and it was amaaaaaazing! I almost didnt want to drink my coffee and spoil the HK face on the top and the cake… I cant believe I even bit into this, it was too cute to eat – but it was GOOD! And to top this the cake came in the cutest box and a bag; which I still have and as I said I spotted it in my Kitchen and spurred me to write about it right now. Cant wait to go back here again.
Beautiful Spain… These pictures were taken with my Olympus Pen E-PL8; not had this too long but I already LOVE it. This is actually the first time I have visited Costa Blanca. My parents live in Spain so I’m very lucky to get the opportunity to visit Alicante, Santa Pola, Cartagena and su So many amazing places to visit in Spain. After visiting Costa Del Sol for so many years it was interesting to see another part of Spain. I even visited Benidorm and absolutely recommend going to see a Show at ‘Benidorm Palace’; the new Aqua Show was amazing, I used to be a professional Dancer and appreciate watching a great Show.
I also love to shop! Spain has my favourite shops; the styles and bright colours are so different to what I see in UK. I love everything about the Spanish shopping experience. La Zenia was a new experience for me and loved it, not only does it have an incredible selection of shops, restaurants, cafe’s etc. Desigual is one of my favourite places to shop, Zara, Bershka, Oysho, Womens Secret, Stradivarius, Pull & Bear…. I miss these stores in UK. Ok, we get Zara but its not as good as in Spain. I also got to visit the Guess shop and no end of Shoe shops – my idea of a dream day out. La Zenia is my new favourite place to shop.
